Pam Strugar

Pam Strugar is an artist, writer, sculptor, and performance artist living and working in the Los Angeles area. Her varied interests have recently led her to study occult practices and she is certified in evolutionary astrology and past life regression using astrology maps. Depth psychology, using western and eastern shamanistic and psychological practices, is a large part of her artistic practice. In her work, materiality has an uncomfortable, uncanny, exorcizing relationship to a complex and unorthodox mating of the body, the psyche, spirituality, feminism, and eroticism. She attempts to clarify the social content in which these unseemly contradictions can simultaneously exist, be constantly redefined, and explored. She is striving in her art practice for extreme creative exploration in the realm of resistance to accepted beliefs and ideologies. She looks for ways to demonstrate alternative viewpoints on social, physical, and cultural perception. Pam has an MFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She has shown in many conventional and alternative venues in the United States and Europe.
